| This half-scale reproduction of "Dad's" famous "major award" isn't completely accurate (as has been noted here in another review) but for a mere 40 bucks, it's certainly close enough for most Christmas Story fans, including this one! The large-size version by NECA also suffers from the same (minor) inaccuracies, so their half-size version is certainly the better deal if you're hankering to own the classic leg lamp. Something to consider: It's smaller scale will fit nicely on the table between your home theatre recliners and will go well with any other home theatre decor. It certainly does with mine, never failing to draw smiling comments when a new guest first sees it. And your lamp will too. (And my home theatre room is full of other types of movie/tv memorbilia to distract the eye.) So stop vascilating and "award" this classic to yourself (or a loved one) for being a steadfast fan of one of the best holiday movies ever made. And remember: Be sure to ask the seller to mark the package "Fragile" so you too can become "Dad" for a nostalgic moment when it arrives at your door. |

| My brother has been saying for years, in jest, how he'd love to have this ugly lamp to place in the window of his house, for all the neighbors to see. And his wife has sworn that it would never happen...and now she is going to kill us for getting him this for Christmas! What a wonderful and wacky present, from one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. |

| This lamp is AWESOME. I purchased it to give as a gag yankee swap gift. I took it out of it's original box and put it in a new one writing "fragile" on the side. When the first person opened it, there was a mixture of reviews. Half of the party tried their hardest not to end up with the lamp, while the other half were just dying to get it. This was a Christmas to remember! |

| What a little 'cutie'! Looks just like the picture. The 20" is a good size. Not overwhelming. Great for the night stand and doesn't take up a lot of room. |

My husband is a big Christmas Story fan and we would joke about the leg lamp. I purchased this version of the lamp (20") and was surprised by how nice the lamp actually is!
It has a real lampshade with actual fringe, takes a regular sized light bulb, has stretchy fishnet stockings on the leg, and is well balanced. There are 3 settings for the lamp: lampshade only, leg only, and both lampshade and leg.
For a prop/gag gift, it is very nice. Now, if they only made on that was 40" in height... |

| I bought this for my husband for Christmas as a joke. The Christmas Story is his favorite movie. He loved the lamp SO much that it is a permanant fixture on the table beside his chair in the living room. It is definately a great conversation piece and is small, but more adaptable than the larger version. |

| I thought the lamp was adorable...however I bought it as a gift and the recipient simply did not want it, no reflection at all on the lamp. The company was a pleasure to deal with. Had prompt communications regarding returning the lamp (which again was adorable!!!). I DEFINITELY would do business with them again! |
