The Kentucky Derby Barbie wears a flirty, flowery sun dress and oversized white brimmed hat. Derby hats are a fashion necessity at the races and Barbie's hat is no exception. It features a delicate multicolored trio of roses. Her other accessories include race tickets, a faux pearl necklace, and tan high-heeled spring sandals. Barbie's face and makeup are also gorgeous. This doll has a new face sculpt which is also featured on Barbie Basics Model #007 and AphroditeBarbie Exclusive 2009 GOLD Fantasy Series - APHRODITE. She is one of my favorite dolls from the 2009 Collector Line, and I tend to believe that others agree since this doll sold out quite quickly from the Mattel website.
